The Monsters of Templeton

The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff

The cover was the first thing to draw me to this book, it looked interesting, and it spoke of monsters. Haha. The story is about a woman who comes home as a place of refuge from her life. She is the descendant of the founders of the town and spends most of the story researching them. She finds out that she is not the result of a hippie love orgy her mother told her she was from. In her search of finding out who her real father is she learns many secrets that the family has been hiding and that have been hidden from everybody. It’s an interesting book. Its not the greatest. I’m meh on it. Its good but I’m not sure how far I would go as to recommend it. Yes there is a monster. It dies and they find it in the town lake. Makes you second guess how deep and what is in that local lake.
