Valentine’s Day

What’s better than a romantic comedy? I was really looking forward to seeing this film in theatres. It is highly star studded including: (deep breath) Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Patrick Dempsey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, George Lopez, Hector Elizondo, Nigel Quashie, Emma Roberts, Taylor Swift, Taylor Lautner, Eric Dane, Queen Latifah, Shirley MacLaine, and Topher Grace, which can sometimes be a hit and a miss when it comes to films. Just because it has a lot of really good or well known actors, doesn’t mean it will be good The reason I missed this film was because I went to DisneyWorld that week, so that highly outweighs this film. The movie was exactly what it was suppose to be, a romantic comedy about Valentine’s Day. There were a lot of cute parts and some funny parts. My favourite thing about these movies is the way that everybody is interconnected. I assumed the reason I did not hear very much about this movie was because I was away. Unfortunately, I don’t think that was the case. Despite the fact that it is cute, funny and has loads of celebrities, it was not the greatest movie. I really like Taylor Swift, but in this movie she was a really ditsy girl. It was cute, but it ruins my image of her just a bit. The same with Taylor Lautner, he is normally a pretty decent actor, but in this movie he was kind of meh. He had a few scenes here and there but over all he was pretty forgettable. Not to ruin the movie, but I think that they made two of the people in the movie gay just to have a gay couple. It wasn’t a shock, it was more of a “we don’t know what else to do with you so you and you are going to be gay.” This movie is actually very much like “He’s Just Not That Into You.” Star stuffed cast, looks like a really good, cute movie, but in the end it’s nothing you would really buy or watch too many times. However, I did enjoy “He’s Just Not That Into You,” a lot more than I did this movie. I do not recommend that you see this movie, it is very long and there isn’t much of a story line.
